Flow States.

The brain veers between states of arousal and relaxation but within these two extremes are a number of specific states that we might consider to be more desirable than others when it comes to work and performance.

One such state is the much vaunted ‘flow state’. This is the subject of much research at the moment and has gained a lot of interest online too. The flow state is a kind of ‘productivity panacea’ that is often described as being the highest state of human performance.

In a flow state, you are completely fixated on the task at hand, completely turned off to distractions and able to process information much more quickly. You forget to get up to pee, you forget to eat and you put out your best work.

In sports, the flow state occurs when time seems to slow down to a crawl and you catch a ball you never normally could. It also happens in conversation, when you lose track of time and realize you’ve stayed up talking until 3am.

And according to some surveys, the very most productivity startups and even CTOs spend the majority of their time in this state.

What is a Flow State?

From a neurological point of view, flow states can be described as temporary hypofrontality. This means that the frontal regions of the brain have become completely suppressed due to inactivity, leaving you only able to react and respond to what is happening in the moment. This removes any self-doubt and any hesitation.

It is triggered, reportedly, by the release of neurotransmitters: norepinephrine, dopamine and adenosine. Which equates to ‘stress’ plus ‘bliss’ (adenosine is the ‘bliss’ hormone and is associated with marijuana use). You could create a theoretical ‘stack’ to try and reproduce this feeling.

So how do you trigger a flow state? In essence, this seems to be the natural response to something that we believe is highly important and highly fascinating, but without being frightening. It’s being completely enthralled, thrilled and passionate about what you are doing.

You can trigger this by using a number of ‘flow triggers’. Some organizations have built swings and balance boards designed to create just the right amount of risk and excitement. Other flow triggers include novel environments.

But the most important thing is that you love what you’re doing and that you want to remain completely focussed on that subject matter. If you are struggling to get into flow while writing an essay, it is probably because you don’t find it intrinsically rewarding or motivating. The best solution? Find a task that you do find interesting and fascinating.

Signs You are on the Path to Failure and What to Do About It.

Nobody wants to fail. Failure is one of the most humiliating experiences that a human can endure. Whether this is because of survival instincts or simple societal pressures, nobody wants to be seen as incompetent or incapable, especially when it comes to living up to their own expectations and following their dreams.

Fortunately, there are many signs that you can take note of on your path to success that can be red flags for failure. If you heed these as cautionary symptoms that can be treated and worked on, then you will ultimately be able to overcome these issues and continue forward on your path to success.

The first sign that you are on a path to failure is a refusal to take accountability for your actions or mistakes. A lot of us have a hard time admitting when we are wrong, but this can be a huge hindrance for success of any kind. If you don’t admit that you are making mistakes, you will never have the right mindset to look at your mistakes objectively enough to correct them and continue forward on the path to success.

Another sign that you are on a path to failure is that you lack confidence in yourself. Every one of us has a hard time believing in ourselves at times, but if you don’t believe that success is even possible, then you are really going to have a hard time facing the challenges that are bound to arise as you follow your path to success. Without confidence, the first sign of failure is going to break you to the point where you may not even want to get back up off the ground and keep trying, even though it is possible for you to succeed despite an initial setback.

A third sign of failure is a refusal or reluctance to set goals that help you to both measure your success and continued to climb toward it. People who scoff at goals are often the most directionless and aimless people you’ll ever meet, and if you are not willing to set goals and reach for them, then how do you ever expect to be successful? It’s nearly impossible.

Another way to tell that you may be on the path to failure is realizing that you have a hard time accepting blame. You would rather dish it out onto other people than admit that you have made a mistake or take responsibility for yourself. Blaming others will never get you anywhere else, so learn to be objective and view situations maturely and rationally to get the most out of them.

If you have a hard time with follow-through, you may find yourself on the track to failure. It takes hard work and perseverance to accomplish anything in this world, so make sure that you are training yourself with the discipline you need to live up to your goals or else you may find that it is impossible.

The good thing about all of these red flags is that they are easily fixed if you are willing to learn and accept personal responsibility for your success. If you are willing to do this, and there is nothing standing between you and your dreams.

Why Snapchat’s New Update is Actually Quite Amazing.

You may not realize this but when Snapchat first burst onto the scene, it wasn’t exactly an impressive feat of engineering. What made Snapchat a hit was the simplicity of its idea and how much fun it was possible to have with the self-destructing messages it created. But in terms of programming, this was a very inefficient app that would eat up your CPU even when not in use.

Then Facebook offered to buy the company for $3 billion and everyone was incredibly surprised when the CEO said no. And for a while it looked like a big mistake.
But now Snapchat is back. The lenses that came with the 2.0 update have been setting the world on fire and actually the code on display here is absolutely incredible. Moreso than you may well realize. Read on to find out why.

Why the Lenses Are Amazing.

In order to activate a Snapchat lens, all you need to do is to tap on your own face and then hold it for a second. A mesh will then appear around your facial features and this will map you to allow you to start seeing the filters applied in real-time.

And what you’ll find is that this is actually quite amazing. Why? Because it is mapping your face in real-time which takes some very impressive coding skills.

The way this works is through something called ‘computer vision’. That means that the software is able to look at a photo of your face and then map the contors of your facial expression – knowing what expression you’re pulling, which direction you’re looking, how far away you are from the camera and more.

This, by the way, is incredibly impressive.

What is Computer Vision?

Another example of computer vision is the way that an Xbox Kinect is able to read your body in space, or the way that a car is able to drive itself by detecting what’s in front of it or behind it.

But in both these cases, the devices in question use additional sensors which can scan the depth of the environment. These include infrared and multiple camera arrays to create depth of field.

But in the case of Snapchat it’s using only a single camera. And that camera isn’t even a particularly good camera – this works with even a low MP front-facing camera.

To give you an idea of how breakthrough this is, the technology is impressive enough to potentially change the way we interact with virtual reality. Using a Gear VR it is currently possible to look around but not to walk around. This is because the Gear VR can’t detect whether you’re moving forward or backward because it has no sensors capable of doing this. Palmer Luckey says that this would never be possible with a regular phone.

But using the technology available right now and on display in Snapchat, it would be possible for the Gear VR to do exactly that with its front-facing camera.

So in short this technology is very much right at the cutting edge. And it’s being used to give people dog tongues. That’s the internet for you!

Training Your Brain to Battle Your Negativity Bias.

The negativity bias can happen to anybody. In fact, most of humanity is predisposed to favoring negative sensory input and memories over the positive. This can often hardwire us for issues like depression and a lack of motivation. When we begin to believe that more negative things happen to us than positive things, whether that is true or not, it can be extremely discouraging. We start to feel like the entire world is against us, and no matter how hard we try, the cards will always be stacked out of our favor.

However, when you actually think about it, the truth is that we undervalue positive experiences and tend to overvalue the -ones. This can make it very difficult for us to move on and let go of negative events that happen to us. We find ourselves reeling from negative events for days and days, while positive events often become forgotten by the end of the day and we no longer find any value in them or their memory. In a way, the mind is a little bit of an ingrate like that.

Most of this happens because of the training of our neural pathways. These are the synapses in our brains that connect and help us to process information and react appropriately to the input that our mind is receiving. For example, if we are treated negatively by somebody for a long period of time, and we become able to predict their behaviors, our neural pathways will fire off the appropriate response to that stimulation. This can be great in the moment, but if our brain is misinterpreting cues that seem close to what we are used to but actually do not have a malicious intent, our negativity is actually unwarranted. And yet we can’t seem to help ourselves when it comes to our reactions.

This is similar to what happens when we are traumatized. Anybody who goes through this type of conditioning is likely to have certain responses to certain situations that other people wouldn’t have.

Thankfully, the human body is magnificent and can rewire itself to change the way we interpret sensory input. If we are willing to interrupt our negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts, this can actually help us to remap our neural pathways so that we are capable of changing our response to negativity and remaining positive despite the circumstances that we are faced with.

If you find that you are negative thinker, or you have a tendency to overvalue negative situations over progress, this can hold you back. Start interrupting your negative thoughts with active attempts to remind yourself that you are making great strides toward success. Every step that you make toward progress is a huge deal, and allowing yourself to feel pride toward your accomplishments is a great way for you to combat your negativity bias and prime yourself for even more success down the road.

All of us are capable of rewiring our brains, no matter what the situation might be. Use this knowledge to your advantage and start retraining your mind today!

Changing Your Definition of Failure.

It is extremely difficult to discover that we fall short in any way, shape, or form. When we find that we don’t measure up, it can be a real hit to our self-confidence. When our self-esteem suffers, it can cause issues further down the line with depression and other serious consequences. Without confidence, our personal relationships and view of ourselves suffers tremendously.

Some might argue that it is society that puts too much pressure on us to succeed. We are given a tailor-made definition for success from a young age. We envision success as having a lot of money and doing whatever it takes to be at the top. However, that vision of success is not often personally crafted and tailored to align with our passions. That can be dangerous, especially if you are a creative and spirited person who thrives with an abundance of self-expression and innovation.

It seems that the world is cruel to creative types, but this can be avoided in some capacity by changing your perspective. It is our own minds that become our cages. When we accept society’s definition of success rather than defining it for ourselves, that is when the trouble really begins. The trouble becomes even worse when we begin to identify ourselves as failures because we are not meeting the criteria for the definition of success.

Fortunately, there is no law in the universe that states that we have to accept society’s definition of failure and tag it on to ourselves as some kind of self-condemning label that we drag around for the rest of our lives and suffer immensely for. We have to learn how to redefine failure so that we are able to see it as an opportunity rather than a death sentence.
For many, this is easier said than done, but it is possible. No matter who you are, you can define failure for yourself. A failure can be many things, but one thing is for certain. It is not an identity. You are not a failure. No matter what you do or don’t do, failure is not a personality label. You can apply failure to the failure to achieve specific goals or completing tasks, that you yourself are never a failure. You should get that into your head now loud and clear.

Instead, redefine failure as an opportunity to see your task in a different light. Whatever your goal may be, there are many paths that you can take that will lead you to success. If you are not willing to take the time to analyze your choices and examine why certain things have succeeded and others have not, then you are missing out on the gift the failure can give you.

By viewing failure in a different light, you are providing yourself with the opportunity to begin to see opportunities where you once saw roadblocks. This is a powerful strategy that will open up many new doors for you and allow you to garner confidence in yourself rather than feeling defeated by the expectations that you had set up for yourself. View failure as an opportunity, not as a death sentence!

Does Brain Training Really Work? The Limits of the Human Mind.

Many of us are fascinated with the idea of increasing our intelligence, our focus and our memory. If we could increase our capabilities in these areas, then we could solve more problems, we could succeed in our careers, and we could gain the respect of our peers.

But can the brain really be upgraded? Is there such thing as a real ‘Limitless’ pill?

And do all these brain training games really work?

The Hidden Potential of the Brain.
You’ve probably heard claims that we only use a small percentage of our brain and that we have lots of untapped potential.

Well the latter point is true, but the former is a complete myth and misunderstands the way our brain works.
Likewise, many ‘brain training games’ have been shown to only really improve the specific task that they present us with.

Counting penguins makes you better at counting penguins and that’s about it.
But that is not to say that there aren’t ways we can enhance our brain function and get more from our various mental faculties. It is possible to upgrade such things as focus, memory and attention, but in order to do that we need a better understanding of neuroscience, the biology of our brain and how our brains respond to stimulus.

The key to all of this is something called brain plasticity. This is the ability of the brain to grow and change shape in response to experience and training. We are capable of growing new neuronal connections and altering our chemical makeup but only when properly stimulated.

Why Train Your Brain?

But what is truly exciting is that the capabilities of the human mind go far beyond merely upgrading your ability to retain information, or to be witty in conversation.

Brain plasticity shows that the brain can adapt to incredible demands and changes. This is how some blind individuals have managed to develop sonar. It’s what allowed some people to develop synaesthesia and to visualize complex mathematical equations. It allowed Dennis Rogers to recruit more muscle fiber during exercise and to stop an aircraft from taking off with his bare hands.

It allows gymnasts to move with fluidity, memory masters to recite pi to tens of thousands of decimal points (the record is 31,811) and it is what allowed Einstein to decipher the secrets of the universe simply by picturing the movement of light.

It allows Whim Hof to raise his body temperature and survive exposure to extreme cold. Plasticity allows autistic savants to create perfect sketches of cityscapes they’ve seen for seconds.
It’s how I personally managed to train myself to write 20-30,000 words in a single day.

And ultimately it means you have the ability to design the brain you want, to become optimized for the challenges you face in your life and for the goals you are working toward. You can become more highly focussed, more creative, more confident or even upgrade the speed of your thought.

You can train your brain just as a bodybuilder trains their muscles. And the potential that this represents is something that has not even been fully explored. Your mind is limitless, it is the final frontier.

Changing Your Physiology to Change Your Mind.

In order to perform your best, you need to be in the perfect state of mind.
That means that you need to have just the right chemical balance of neurotransmitters in order to be slightly aroused and alert but not to the point of being stressed to distraction. During times of relaxation, you of course want to tone down that stress to achieve a relaxed state of mind, which is also optimal for being creative.

You can use nootropics, brain training, visualization and more to achieve this, or you can rely on your natural cycles and simply choose the right time to work. Our body goes through natural cycles based on what we eat, what the weather is like and even our breathing.

But alternatively, you could also consider actively influencing these physiological factors in order totrigger the most desirable mental state for the given activity.

1. The Role of Physiology.

You can also manipulate your physiology in order to alter your mental state and to change the way you feel and perform at any given time.

For example, if you wanted to be more alert and focussed, then you should avoid a heavy lunch. A heavy lunch requires energy simply to digest and as it triggers the release of feel-good endorphins, which also happen to be inhibitory neurotransmitters, it actually makes your brain more sluggish.

This is one reason that many people claim they feel more alert and focussed when they are in a fasted state (it possibly also has to do with the release of ketones, which are preferential for certain specific mental activities).

Conversely, if you find yourself becoming anxious and grumpy, then consider seeking out more food in order to fix that chemical balance.

Likewise, if you turn the temperature down slightly, then you will also increase your arousal. The colder you are, the faster you breathe and the faster the blood flows through your veins. You also produce significantly more norepinephrine and testosterone. This is why it can be such an effective tool to take a cold shower, to jump in a plunge pool, or even just to splash cold water on your face.

Another good way to fight the fight or flight response though and to restore your homeostasis/calm is to practice correct breathing. Correct breathing technique is often referred to as ‘belly breathing’ and it involves first relaxing the diaphragm and then allowing the stomach to expand as the lower portion of the lungs drop into it, before feeling up the top of the lungs and expanding the chest.

This slower, fuller breathing can modulate the response of your parasympathetic nervous system in order to restore a sense of calm – especially if you make each breath longer and count for 4-5 seconds on every exhale and inhale. Next time you’re about to give a speech or do an interview, try this technique to calm your nerves.

2. Master Your Emotion.

Many of us make the mistake of believing that our emotions arise from our thoughts, but more often it is our thoughts that arise from our emotions. And what do our emotions arise from? Our feelings. These have an evolutionary purpose remember, so they are all about driving us toward survival – finding food, resting when we can and avoiding danger.

If you’re having a bad day and you think the world kind of sucks, then before you do anything rash, ask if you might be over tired (which makes us groggy but eventually results in a fight or flight response), overly hungry or even ill which can create brain fog by causing inflammation via the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Either way, look after your body if you want to have the best chance of controlling your mind and consider the context for how you’re feeling at any given time. The reason you can’t focus might even be because your belt is digging in.

Tips on How To Have a Successful Periscope Live Streaming Session.

Periscope marketing can be a great way to reach out to your customers and stay ahead of the competition. To have a successful live streaming session, these are some of the tips that you can use in order to effectively engage your audience and have a productive marketing event.

1. Let your viewers have an exclusive experience.

What new experiences are you treating your audience to? This is particularly important because someone will only spend his or her precious time to watch your live streaming sessions for an exclusive or unique experience. Are you giving your followers a tour of your firm, an exclusive interview with a celebrity or an interactive session with your employees. These are some of the things that will make them want to put on hold other commitments in order to watch your live broadcasts. Create a once in a lifetime opportunity that viewers will not be willing to pass up.

2. Make the live broadcasting sessions as interactive as possible.

The reason why mobile video live streaming has gained prominence within a very short time is that it presents an opportunity for entrepreneurs to interact with their customers. It shows that you care about their welfare as opposed to the traditional marketing methods where customers are only as important as their money. Opening up dialogue with your viewers will give you valuable feedback which you can then use to formulate important business strategies.

3. Create buzz and hype around a live streaming session.

Obviously you wouldn't want to host a live broadcasting session without an audience. Ensure that your follows are informed about it by promoting it on Twitter and other social media networks. This will ensure that they plan for it and when you finally decide to do the live broadcast, you'll have a ready audience. This is also important for a successful marketing event because the more people you reach the most likely your sales numbers will go up.

4. Have an enticing title to draw attention.

A great title will definitely arouse curiosity and make your followers want to know or see more. It is a summary of what is to come and when you make it as captivating as possible, viewers will want to satisfy their curiosity by viewing your live broadcast sessions.

5. Choose a great background.

Even though Periscope marketing thrives on honesty and the ability to improvise on the go, your content can also be muddled when you don't have an ideal background. Ensure that the lighting is great and that sound levels, focus and field of view are on point. You can also choose to make your backdrop a recognizable part of the live stream sessions.

6. Time your broadcasts appropriately for maximum viewership.

You can schedule your broadcast sessions to coincide with your busiest Twitter engagement periods. This will result into maximum viewership and make your marketing campaign effective. Twitter analytics tools can be used to conduct research on followers and come up with a strategic live broadcasting schedule.

Periscope marketing is an effective marketing tool and with these tips, you can greatly engage with your customers and grow your brand.

Importance of Real Time Publishing on Periscope For Brands.

The Periscope app is so fresh because it allows businesses to publish content in real time. There has been a new craze about real time publishing ever since the mobile video live streaming app was launched. In keeping up with the new marketing trends and appealing to new and unique demographics of customers, businesses have had to find ways to package their marketing contents in a manner that users will find helpful and highly refreshing. Real time video streaming on social media platforms has become the in-thing in online marketing. What are the impacts of live streaming on the growth of a business? Here are some of the ways in which real time video streaming on social media sites can impact the growth of a company.

1. Ability to create more videos.

Real time video streaming allows businesses to create more video content than before. It takes much effort and resources to record video content, edit and broadcast as opposed to live streaming. Using Periscope for live streaming and marketing, a company can create more video content while still cutting down on costs. Competition in the business environment has become so intense, more specifically on social media. Companies must therefore get creative while increasing revenue generation by cutting down on marketing expenses. A business can publish as much content as it wants using the live streaming app. This will then translate into more brand awareness and ultimately increase sales numbers. The simplicity of it alone makes it a very attractive platform for several brands that want to market their products while keeping their contents fresh and unique.

2. More connection with the customers.

Customers feel more connected to companies when they see content advertised via live streaming apps. It helps to bring out the human side of the business as opposed to portraying it only as a money making enterprise. In cases where brands wish to rectify a wrong perception or address a public concern, live streaming will show them as remorseful and willing to work on a solution. This connection will definitely go a long way in driving sales since customers will purchase more products from a company when they feel that it also cares about their welfare. The other aspect is the ability to get real time feedback when users comment on the broadcasts. This makes it easier to asses the impact of video content and make necessary corrective measures where necessary.

3. Capturing important events and promoting company culture.

Real time publishing allows companies to capture important events like product launches and live stream them to their customers. Using Periscope, customers can watch real time events as they happen instead of watching them on the news. A company can also use real time publishing to promote its culture by giving users a behind the scenes tour of how it goes about its business.

Instead of using plain boring texts, real time publishing allows companies to market their products in an interactive and colorful way. With the current crop of customers, this is one sure way of getting attention.

The Correlation Between Creativity and Success.

Being successful seems like a lot of hard work. It seems like a lot of flow charts and graphs and dry, hard facts. These types of things can leave a creative person shuttering and running away before they ever accomplish anything of value.
However, it is very important for us to be able to relax a little bit within the confines of our plans so that we can have the room we need to grow and be creative. Creation is the main source of innovation. If we are not able to be creative, then it doesn’t matter how great we are at planning and achieving our goals. We will not be doing anything of real value if we are not actually creating something that is beneficial to us and our projects.
Innovation is extremely important. It helps us to move humanity forward. It is the building blocks that help to shape our society and the world that we live in. Without innovation, life as we know it would cease to exist. Creativity has a fundamental value within human society and life as a whole. We would not have survived in dangerous climates and conditions without innovation on our side.
It can seem very difficult to take the time that you need throughout the day to relax yourself and be creative. Especially if you are stressed. Stress can make creativity dry up in seconds.
No matter what you are working toward, creativity can lend a hand and help you along the way. It helps you to get over hurdles and prevents you from staying stuck in the past. Why would you stay stuck when there is still so much opportunity to make things work?
The key component to creativity is observation. Humans who were able to observe things like the weather and the patterns of their enemies were able to survive and understand and predict things as they happened, and even sometimes before they happened. Observation helps us to anticipate things that are potentially limiting to us. When we are able to observe those things, and analyze the way they affect us, we are able to utilize those skills to move us forward.
It is dangerous to limit creativity in an individual. Creativity is one of the only ways that we have been able to make it so far on this planet. And utilizing it, we will also be able to get ourselves further than we ever thought possible in our business and personal ventures as well. New creativity isn’t as simple as sitting down and drawing a picture. Creativity is a way of thinking. It is a way of observing the world that helps us to anticipate future challenges and to deal with the ones that we are already encountering.
Without this type of flexibility, we find ourselves stuck and unable to move forward in a direction that is beneficial. And so, make sure that you take the time you need out of your life to focus on your creativity. Do not put pressure on yourself to create. Allow it to be a fun and natural process. Take time to stop and smell the roses and observe the world around you, so that you will be able to more easily rise from the ashes when you experience setbacks and get back on the track to success.

Have You Let Your Reputation Ruin Your Life.

Just as people desire material things, people also desire reputation. Let's face it. We're all works in progress. There's always room for improvement. We're not complete. You may be thinking that this is a big problem. You may be thinking that this is some sort of weakness, susceptibility, vulnerability or some sort of negative trait.

Another way to look at it is that this is what makes being human so engaging and fun. We're not complete. We cannot complete our lives by marrying the right person. Nobody can complete you, only you can complete you. The whole idea of being incomplete is not a judgment or a clarion call to absorb other people or acquire stuff from them.

It is a reminder that it's okay to exist, it's okay to take things as they are and to experience life in such a way where the experience fills us in, changes us and our attitude towards our sense of limitation, and ultimately our mortality is what changes us for the better.
We celebrate life despite all its imperfections. In fact, it's in the imperfections that we see the meaning of life. Believe it or not, it's death that gives life's meaning. It's very easy for us to be gripped by the fear of this lack of completion, to take refuge in things that really don't matter that much.

Reputation is one of these things that we take refuge in. Instead of celebrating the empty space in our lives and see it in a proper context, we look to plug in our inadequacies. We become so possessed and so taken by the need to be something bigger, stronger and more desirable than who we think we are.

This is where the idol of reputation comes in and it becomes very all-consuming infatuation. It can even be more damaging than greed. The problem with reputation is that you are not in control. Desire for possession have at some level involve a sense of control.

That is not the case with reputation. why? You're dependent on what other people think of you. You think it's bad enough controlling yourself, can you imagine trying to control other people? If you think it's difficult changing yourself, can you even imagine changing other people's minds? It's not going to happen.

That's precisely the position you put yourself in. It's very unstable, people change their minds all the time, people can turn on you at anytime. This happens regardless of what you do. You might think you're doing an amazing job but, there are people that you cannot please. People have their own agenda and most of the time these have little to do with you. Stop beating yourself up trying to impress others who ultimately cannot be controlled. Focus instead on how you respond to others. That’s the only thing you can do.

It's too easy to ruin your life or the enjoyment of your life seeking other people's approval and validation. Thankfully, there is a better path. This is a path of control, this is a self-contained, self-sustaining path to wholeness and wellness. Click the link in the description for the good news.

Is Periscope Marketing Here For The Long Haul?

Technology is always evolving and constantly there are new inventions and innovations that change the way information is shared. Periscope mobile video live streaming app was launched about ten months ago and has already received a lot of praise from the business community. There are several reasons why it has become so popular, key among those being its ability to allow businesses to broadcast content in an easy and cost effective way.

A question that a lot of people ask is whether it will stand the test of time. That cannot be answered in a straight line because the nature of technology is to evolve. We can still take a familiar approach in answering this question. What makes Periscope live streaming app unique? The fact that its interface is integrated with Twitter makes it different from other similar platforms. That alone makes it stand out in a crowded field of digital marketing platforms. Social media has in the recent past greatly affected how businesses run their affairs and conduct their marketing campaigns. Due to the high number of users that frequent the social media sites, companies are finding it very convenient to market their products and services on the platforms. They save a lot of money which they would have spent when using the conventional advertising and marketing methods. It is also not lost on us that it is fairly easy for a business to reach its target audience on social media. These factors have been very instrumental in causing the great shift that has been witnessed in digital marketing and opening up of a whole new frontier in social media marketing. Periscope rides on an already popular platform, Twitter, to broadcast content. It is a strategy that has paid off because a lot of brands are increasingly using it to market their products and services on the social media site. It is revolutionary really, to say the least.

I doubt that social media will go out of fashion any time soon. As time goes by, more and more platforms that internet users can interact on are developed. Periscope has decided to integrate its functionality with Twitter which already has a high number of users. Even big brands that initially spent a lot of money on advertising are finding it more convenient to use the live streaming app. Periscope is very popular with these brands because it allows them to interact with their customers, most of who value great customer experiences. There are some wonderful features that users can also get to enjoy on the app while using it. The fact that a live broadcast can be saved on the application for up to 24 hours is another reason why it is different. It has already proved effective and whether it can last for a long time only depends on its ability to adapt to changing technology and business environment. It sure has started greatly by riding on a popular platform. It can then build on that to position itself highly in the mobile live streaming application industry.

How Internet Marketing Can Transform Your Life.

Working online has completely transformed my life for the better. Thanks to my ability to make money from the web, I’ve been able to live wherever I want, work out of coffee shops while travelling to other countries and pursue projects that I’m passionate about. I’ve had the BEST last 10 years. On a ‘hard’ day, I wake up at 9am, head to a coffee shop and sit down to write or promote my brand until 5pm. I’ll hit the gym in the morning. I’ll go for a stroll at lunch. And for the second half of the day I might come home and work on the couch.

On other days, I’ll be working while visiting somewhere in Europe. One of my favourite ever memories was sitting in a café in Croatia. It was warm but raining outside and I was with my friend, a fellow internet marketer. It was 10pm, we were sipping beer, and we were both working on projects we loved. As we typed, we watched the world go by and just drank in the atmosphere. The bar was playing Schiller which is how I discovered one of my favorite music artists.

The next day, we headed to Krka National Park and – astounded we could get WiFi at the top of a mountain – sat working, perched on a rock in front of a magnificent waterfall.

Many people live their lives like this by becoming ‘digital nomads’. That means they travel the world while earning a living from their laptops. Others choose to stay at home but just work in the way they want to, this is called ‘lifestyle design’.

I’ve been invited to Silicon Valley where I’ve worked with other tech enthusiasts. I’ve written a book. And I’ve built a successful YouTube channel where I get to vlog about topics that matter to me and then discuss them with just the best army of fans.

I’ve learned to program and built a hit app. I’ve met several of my heroes in person and even had the privilege of working with them.

All this thanks to the power of the web. Thanks to the internet, I’ve been able to pursue whatever work interests me and do that from anywhere.

And it pays pretty well too!

The web does wonderful things for people. I know countless others who have enjoyed similar success from different strategies. I met a guy at a YouTube event who makes a BIG passive income by selling motivational courses on Udemy. Another friend of mine managed to get his website to the top of Google for the term ‘Make Money Online’. He sold that website, moved to a sunny country and bought a massive house.

And I’ve seen people use internet marketing in order to take struggling small businesses and transform them into hugely successful brands.

I’ve seen people become famous musicians through YouTube, simply because they knew how to create an online brand and then promote it.

The web is yours for the taking, and internet marketing will show you how to take it!

Routines for Successful People.

A lot of people, in particular, those who have suffered setbacks and are in a slump, have a difficult time finding a routine and sticking with it. Depression can be a very difficult thing to battle, but when you are able to have a routine to look forward to, even depression can become manageable to some extent.
The trick is in setting up a routine that will help you to get out of your slump and into mindset that will provide you with the mental capacity that you need to focus on your future and begin to make the positive changes that you need to make in order to become successful.
Although it may seem impossible, routine is one of the best first steps that anybody can take. All successful people have a tendency to swear by their routine. Artists may not enjoy making plans very much, but even they have specific ways that they do things and a process that helps them to create in the best way possible for them specifically.
All of us are individuals, so it is very important to help yourself by creating a routine that works for you. Humans are very trapped in our biology and ways, and our mental and physical health thrives when we are able to focus on structure and discipline.
To begin with, you need to start to schedule your meals. Scheduling your meals will provide your body with him thing that is nourishing and predictable, and it will help you to stay focused and energized throughout the day. Many of us can get caught up in work and so consumed by it that we do not actually remember to take care of ourselves. Having an eating routine is a great way to make sure that you are nourishing your body so that you are at your best.
The next most important thing in a routine for success is getting enough sleep. Everybody needs a certain amount of sleep. However, some people function better on certain amounts of sleep than others might. Find out what amount of sleep works best for your body and make sure that you are carving at the time to get that amount of sleep. No more, and no less. Otherwise, you may begin feeling hazy and grumpy throughout the next day, or having a difficult time focusing. Having a bedtime and a wake-up time can be very helpful in this regard.
Finally, setting up a structure for you to work within during your day is crucial. Knowing what you are going to be doing, at least vaguely, before your day even begins is a good way to prepare yourself for these tasks so that you are able to accomplish them easily and with few obstacles. Carve out time every day for introspection, and carve out time every day for something that helps you get closer to your goal. Also, make sure that you are scheduling your downtime if you have a tendency to overwork yourself.
Routine is one of the most commonly stated sources of success by successful people. They are bound to know what they are talking about, so do your best to carve out your routine today so that you can pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get going on the things that matter most to you. You will be glad you did!

What Is Wholeness And Why Do You Need It?

We live in a modern world where the world pretty much slices and dices us. Just take a look at how marketing and political persuasion are done.

If you're trying to get some sort of political message across, you dig into the demographic of the audience you're trying to reach: their age range, gender distribution, occupation, and average level of education attainment. These are the types of questions that separate people and put them in a grid. Once you have a clear idea of this grid, you position to address these people on an emotional, personal and financial level.

This makes a lot of sense. Different people with similar intersections of demographic traits do tend to share some similarities regarding political views and social, economic, and political concerns. How can they not? They see certain aspects of reality together. This can lead to the same conclusions. Again, I speak in general terms here. While there are always exceptions to the rule, this is how things normally pan out. People are, by and large, creatures of their experiences. You can never discount the impact of environment on people. While this does not necessarily mean they are totally blank slates, what one experiences through life can and does have a big impact on how that person sees the world and how that person thinks things should be done.

The same applies to marketing. Believe it or not, when you log in to Facebook, it spies on you not only by paying attention to the stuff that you like and the topics that you comment on, but also based on your ad clicks. They then start showing you ads based on its best guess of what you are interested in. This is only possible through a series of highly complicated calculations to show and to get the right ads into the right people.

This is just a symptom of the fact that modern human existence, at least in the western world, is fragmented. It's rare for people to talk about other people as complete individuals. They either referred to a larger group that you're a part of, or based on what you can contribute in terms of one key aspect of your life: your ability to make money, to give of your time, or your talent.

Whatever the case maybe, people don't really consider each other a complete, self-sustaining, integral and comprehensive self-enclosed being. There's a reason why anti-hypertensive, anti-anxiety, and anti-depressant medications are always on the top five of legal prescription drugs year after year in the West. At some level, we are sick, as a society.

This is what wellness and wholeness tries to address. A holistic approach wellness that addresses the whole person. Human beings are unbelievably complex, it goes a long way to truly address the human condition. Isn't it time we start addressing our wellness issues from this perspective?

We have to stop looking at ourselves as some flat, monolithic, one-dimensional cartoon. Unfortunately, that's how the medical industrial complex views human beings. You only need to look at drug addiction rates, drug addiction divorce, suicide and other indices of personal and social dysfunction to see that there is something fundamentally wrong. Wholeness gets to the heart of this. We need it collectively and you need it individually.

What's The Big Deal With Emotional Wholeness, Anyway?

Have you ever sat down and just chilled out for a whole day? I'm not talking about playing a video game or watching stuff on Youtube, but just completely chilling out: possibly outdoors checking out some natural landscape or natural features, sitting down on a bench, watching the sunset. Have you ever done that?

If you had, and you're completely honest with yourself, don't be surprised if you come to the conclusion that there's something off your life, something doesn't feel right. You can't quite point what it is but you think that there's something missing.

You may be doing well enough at work, bills are getting paid, your mortgage is covered month after month, the kids are doing well enough from school, you can buy whatever you want, your debts are manageable, you rarely freak out when you get your credit card balance at the end of the month, but regardless of these, something seems missing.

You might want to consider emotional wholeness. You have to understand that the sense of contentment is an art. A lot of people think that contentment is some sort of product that can be bought. When we buy stuff that's worth a lot of money, that item is more valuable. If you are able to afford something that other people desire, you must be important enough.

We got so caught up in the outer indicators of value that we have lost sight of value itself. We are so caught up in buying contentment through getting more and more stuff that we confused value with price; possessions with being. Not surprisingly, many of us find ourselves in a situation where the more we buy, the less complete we feel.

It's not suppose to work this way. Wholeness enables you to occupy the moment. There's no need to explain; there's no need to be somebody that you're not; there's no need to make excuses; there's nothing to worry about. The past is the past, the future is yet to happen and here you are, in the moment, enjoying it and being in it.

The problem is we have lost sight of the concept of wholeness, we are so bombarded with so many different signals that throw us off the whole concept of wholeness. We've reached the point where most of us have forgotten the whole idea of wholeness.

Maybe, if we buy enough stuff, contentment and wholeness will come in. Maybe if we live in a big enough place, this will kick in. Again, this is just in the back section of your mind. this is real. This is the kind of emotional treadmill we find ourselves in. The more we buy, the more we consume, the more we burn out.

Invest in the way out.

Instead of running yourself ragged on a treadmill, has it occurred to you that maybe, you can make things easier on yourself by just getting off the treadmill? Yes, you're supposed to level up until you breakthrough and get the prize. That's how it's marketed, at least.

You might want to reconsider the power of stopping and the power of the infinite now. Click here to learn more about emotional wholeness and how you can achieve it using practical steps.

Antidepressants Do A Lousy Job Of Delivering Contentment.

The state of the global weight loss industry can speak volumes of how people view the bigger issues of life. Human beings have a deep and profound need for meaning. When you ask a person right of the street if they need meaning and purpose in their lives, they probably would not be able to articulate this need in those terms.
Still, they tell you stories or you learn more about them. The connections become clear. It doesn't really matter where people come from, how educated they are or how they look like. All of us need meaning. In fact, the classical great philosopher Aristotle said that human beings are teleological beings.

To simply put it, the sense of purpose and meaning drives us. That's what gives life and what makes it worth living. Again, people of the street may not be able to articulate this but it all goes back to this reality.

Unfortunately, we have a particularly warped view of how to attain meaning and purpose. If you've been watching how the global weight loss industry works, it is quite phenomenal at some level. Why? Year after year, new diet books come out and people invariably fail.

They may lose a few pounds here but eventually the pounds keep coming back and once they stop the diet, they get the risk of getting fatter. So, they buy other diet books, supplements and other products and on it goes. This goes year after year and generates billions of dollars on a global scale.

If you are to take out weight loss supplements and put an antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications or indirectly anti-hypertension medication, you can see where people are in their search for meaning. It's not a very encouraging picture. Last time I check, you cannot buy a sense of meaning in the form of a capsule or a tablet.

Multi-national pharmaceutical companies are raking in billions of dollars every year because of this unstated assumption. We have reached the point that when we have any kind of personal problem, we'd just throw chemicals at it. Your kid is hyperactive, give him some Ritalin. You're feeling a little bit down or uneasy or you just don't feel content, take antidepressant.

The sad reality is that we are over medicated, stressed out, buried to our necks in debt and we're nowhere closer to contentment. Antidepressant and their approach to essentially a spiritual problem fail time and time to address deep and fundamental issues.

The reason for this is because we look at people as material creatures. Your moods can be traced to biochemical signals. Flood your system with the right cocktail of chemicals and according to this theory, you will be okay. You and I know that this is not the case.
It's only recently that the medical establishment realize that maybe your mood, your mindset, your attitude and your lifestyle can impact your physical health and your psychological state. That's a fairly recent development. But many people are still stuck in taking antidepressants when faced with problems.

If you're sick and tired of this and you're looking for a more natural way to become like a whole person, click the link in the description. These methods have existed for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Click the link in the description to get on the inside tract to a better you.

How to Examine Your Failure and Use it as Inspiration.

Sometimes, when we fail, it can feel like the end of the world. None of us like to be told that we are doing something wrong. None of us like to experience setbacks in our plans. It can make us question our self-worth, and make us feel as if the things that we want to achieve are either out of our reach or simply stupid and challenging.

However, failure serves a very important function in human development. Without failure, we would never know what path we need to take in order to truly succeed. If everything was easy for us, then we would never learn. Everything in our paths would be laid out for us and we would never develop emotionally, or mentally. What a boring world that would be!

Fortunately, failure comes regularly to most of us, but it is how we choose to view it that truly separates those who are able to rise from the ashes from those who are prone to Wally and their setbacks and never making any progress. If you want to take a step forward in your life, you need to be able to understand that failure comes naturally, and you will need to learn how to use it as inspiration rather than as a reason to believe that you are worthless.

Inspiration comes in all forms. Most of us find inspiration from things that we enjoy, not from things that hurt us. However, when we are able to look at failure objectively, we will see that it is the easiest way to examine a situation from all angles. It is a gift that nature gives to us, so that we can become the greatest versions of ourselves.

To begin examining your failure, first you must accept that it has happened and understand that your feelings about the situation are legitimate and you are allowed to feel them. Once you have processed them fully, then it is important for you to look at things in a constructive late. Inspiration is a great motivator. When we are inspired, we are charged up and ready to create whatever changes need to be made in order to get us closer to our goals.

For this to happen, consider getting a gratitude journal. Any type of journal will do, it doesn’t have to just be a gratitude journal. But gratitude journals can be exceptionally useful in this endeavor. You will want to look at all of the things that you have learned and doing so in writing is a great way to really look inward and be introspective about your experiences.

Writing about your failure and asking yourself important questions, like why did my failure happen, who was affected by my failure and how, how I was affected, and what opportunities may be hidden, or even asking yourself what could have been done differently, are all great ways for you to start thinking about a plan B and getting yourself inspired to take the next step forward so that you can rise from the ashes!

Content Marketing – How to Create a Blog, Even if You’re a Boring Business.

Content marketing is more and more becoming the most effective way to promote any kind of business or website online and should be a crucial part of your strategy. But why is it so important, and how do you make sure to do it successful? Especially if your business is not something particularly gripping?

1. How it Works and Why it Matters.

The biggest mistake that most businesses make when trying to promote their businesses online is to focus too much on the short term. That is to say that they look at their internet marketing through the lens of how many conversions they can get from any given media strategy. This then results in them posting what are essentially adverts then getting confused as to why no one clicks on them.

What's far more important is to think about the long term, and about establishing trust and influence in your chosen niche. If you read a few articles on a site about how someone made X amount of money and those articles are well written, insightful and inspiring, then you're going to return to that website when you feel in the mood to buy a book on making money. The same goes for a site that writes about home improvement and also offers some DIY services. If you've read content there before and you know they know what they're talking about, then that's the business you're going to want to buy from.

2. How to Write Great Content.

So here's the problem – you run a restaurant and you don't see any way that you can contribute anything interesting to a blog. What do you do?

Well for starters, there's no industry that has nothing interesting to say. If you're working out of an office within a very dry B2B industry such as corporate finance, then you can write tips for others within your industry, or financial tips for other businesses. In this scenario you could even write tips for private individuals to help them manage their finances. If you have a flier company, then you can write about design, about marketing and about launching a new business. Just think a little outside the box and you'll find there are always interesting subjects in and around your industry.

To make your content interesting and engaging meanwhile, focus on how you structure the posts. Most successful of all are posts that are written as 'stories' almost, in that they are written from a first person perspective, or about someone that the reader can relate to. The human brain is actually 'hardwired' to enjoy stories, and thus you will find that this makes them very compelling and difficult to stop reading.

What if You Can't Write?

But what if you can't write content?
In that case you have numerous options. One is to hire someone who can, another is to communicate in other ways – you could upload video content for instance rather than articles. You can even get your customers to write for you, or get guest posts for free by partnering with other blogs.

No matter your business or your experience, content should be a major part of your strategy. No excuses!

A business person must allows be curious because that is what drives innovation and business growth. By now a lot of entrepreneurs have heard about the Periscope live streaming app. However, there are some important things that any entrepreneur who wants to use it for marketing purposes must take note of. Mobile video streaming applications have far reaching benefits for any business person that knows how to use them properly. Before you get started on Periscope, these are some of the things that you should be able to understand about this app.

1. How will it benefit you.

As noted at the start, Periscope is a mobile video live streaming app that automatically connects to Twitter. The impact of this app to a business can be immense if used correctly. As an entrepreneur, you can use Periscope to market your products, grow the number of your Twitter followers and connect with your customers. These can enhance brand awareness, drive up sales and increase revenue generation. In simple terms, the app can make you rich. However that can only become a reality when you are aware of how this application is such a powerful marketing tool. Before you get started, take this important point into consideration and use it to build your enterprise.

2. How is it different from other live streaming apps.

Imagine being able to broadcast to your audience live from your mobile phone; revolutionary, isn't it? With Periscope, you can broadcast to your audience in real time from your mobile phone and market your products. It allows you to search for different topics and even users within its platform. Users can also comment and share their feelings about an ongoing live stream broadcast. It is integrated with Twitter which makes it an effective marketing platform. Unlike in most mobile video live streaming applications, Periscope allows users to save their live broadcasts for up to twenty four hours within the application. Since the user interface is very much integrated with Twitter, you can make the live stream private using the privacy settings option. Most mobile video streaming applications do not have this option.

3. What is your responsibility.

Like any other social media platform, you must be very responsible in using this application. Broadcasting inappropriate content will definitely get you banned from Twitter. It is therefore upon you to ensure that the live stream broadcasts are not offensive and do not go against the terms and conditions for use. A lot of social media sites also attract bullies and people with bad intentions. Be ready to deal with all these limitations because the block feature is still not as effective. Issues have also been raised about copyright infringement, for example live streaming a concert performance for an artist when you clearly don't have the rights.

A lot still needs to be done in perfecting the app but in the meantime, you should use your own judgment to make decisions on how you use it. Be responsible and take advantage of what Periscope can do to your business in terms of growth by using the application appropriately.

Preparing for the Future Rather Than Fearing It.

Is normal for us to fear the future, because it is full of uncertainties. However, when we are living in fear, it can prevent us from making choices that are risky and ultimately very rewarding. When you want to be a success, sometimes it takes taking risks before that is possible. If you are willing to live on the wild side a little bit rather than sticking with what feels safe to you, you may find yourself taking your life in a completely new direction and enjoying the ride.
However that type of mindset can be difficult, particularly if you are unsure of where you are going. When you do not have a clear-cut future and have no idea of what you want to do or how you are going to do it, things can be extremely overwhelming. Forget taking risks altogether, just living in the next day is risk enough. Especially when you have no idea where you are headed.
That is why it can be very important for you to really accept that you have a future, and that it is something very important. If you do not put adequate thought into preparing for that future, then you are basically just throwing it away. Other situations and circumstances will impact you and shape your future, and you will be standing there with your hands in the air just allowing it to happen, whether or not that is aligned with your personal vision for what you want for yourself or not.
To prepare for the future, you have to be willing to accept that you are going to make a difference. Creating a vision board is a good way to help you to focus on what you want for your future and to consider your goals. If you are not considering your goals, then you are not focusing energy in the direction that you want to go.
You have to be willing to look at the big picture and truly understand that what you do every single day, sometimes, every single moment, can make a huge difference in your life. You have to tell yourself that you need to make conscious decisions that are going to impact your future. Otherwise, you are basically just throwing your time away and not creating anything productive with it.
This is where major planning can really come in handy. You need to outline your goals, starting with the endgame, and then dissect it, going backwards. You will begin to see the path that will lead you to achieving your goal, starting with the small steps that you can begin taking right this moment.
Your future is not just a blank slate. It is something that you have complete control over. As long as you begin to understand the impact of your actions, you will be able to shape your future in any way that you desire. When this becomes clear, he will have no choice but to pick yourself up from where you are now and rise to the occasion!

The Link Between Communication and Success.

Most people take communication for granted. We talk with our family and friends, our significant others and our children, and we don’t think much about it. It is a normal part of life, and it is a way that we convey thoughts and ideas to each other.
However, we don’t always consider that everybody has a different communication style. Some people may not be able to speak using verbal words, so they communicate in other ways. People, whether they use verbal words are not, may communicate their emotions in a different way than someone else might. It is always good to check in with the people you are trying to communicate with the seat whether or not they are receiving your message.
This is called gathering feedback, and with this type of feedback, you will know whether or not you are getting your message across. It can be very difficult for anybody to succeed in this world without understanding the power of communication. We are a social species, and humanity has a tendency to need each other. We were not born biologically with the same tools that other animals were born with. We are vulnerable to the elements, and need to work together to survive.
This mindset is something that is deeply ingrained within us, and in our social world, we need to know how to speak with each other before we will ever be able to consider ourselves successful. For this reason, it is very important for us to develop listening skills and empathy.
Listening skills help us to receive messages that other people are trying to give us. There feedback about us can help us to truly understand our strengths and our pitfalls, in a way that will help us to develop them in order to be more successful in the future. Not only that, but they help to improve our relationship with others, because they feel that we are truly listening to them and that we care about what they say.
Empathy is also a crucial skill to develop. When we are unable to empathize with others, it makes the relationship between you strained and difficult. Empathy is a way of learning how to care about somebody else by trying to understand their perspective, even if it is different from your own. Everybody has different experiences that drive them to act in certain ways, and if we are able to understand these things, then we are able to get further in life and have better and closer relationships.
When you develop communication skills, not only will you improve your personal relationships, but you will also have a better likelihood of networking with people who can help you to get your plans off the ground and to show you the same amount of respect that you give to them.
Communication is key, in many ways. If you have found yourself suffering from a setback, consider learning more about how you can develop your communication style so that you are able to pull yourself up from your bootstraps and rise from the ashes!

Lessons Learnt From Periscope Marketing Campaigns So Far.

A lot of companies have used the Periscope live streaming app for several marketing campaigns ever since it was launched. Unlike with recorded broadcasts, it's not advisable to sound plastic or mechanical during the live streaming sessions because viewers will immediately detect that. This app functions best when businesses present a honest picture of themselves that customers can also relate to. Over the course of nearly ten months, what are some of the most important lessons that we have learnt so far from Periscope marketing campaigns? Below we look at some of the valuable takeaways that brands can also embrace in order make their live broadcasting sessions a success.

1. Personify your brand's spirit.

What is your brand known for? What comes immediately to the mind of a customer whenever he or she sees your products? These two questions will help you define the spirit of your brand and embody it during the live streaming sessions. If your brand image is masculine or seductive, let that come out in the live streams. Whether you are streaming live events like product launches or company parties, viewers should be able to see the image they associate your brand with. So how does this benefit your business? It promotes authenticity and helps you to connect more with your customers. When they realize that the company actually embodies its brand image, they'll find it more appealing. Companies like Adidas, Red Bull and St-Germain have made use of this so well and that is why most of their Periscope marketing ventures have been very successful.

2. Tell the story of your brand from a fresh angle.

Sometimes customers fail to understand the whole story behind certain marketing concepts. Conventional advertisements may also not present your company with the opportunity to go into detail regarding the functionality of certain products. Through Periscope live streaming, business owners have been able to tell stories from new perspectives and in the process reaching out to customers in a way that they hadn't done before. They have been able to offer live demonstrations which in effect advertise the qualities of products. Taking customers behind the scenes helps to tell a brand story more clearly and fosters the relationship between a brand and its customers. This ability to connect with consumers is what makes the app so unique and smart entrepreneurs have used it to perfection.

3. Improve the effectiveness of Periscope marketing by using different platforms.

Periscope mobile video live streaming app is connected to Twitter and that means that in a marketing campaign, you'll only be using one social media platform. It is important to reach out to a large number of customers by adopting a cross-platform approach. There are several other social media sites like Instagram, YouTube and Facebook that companies can still use to market their products. Periscope is still developing and has not reached a very critical mass. Businesses can therefore use other marketing platforms to complement it. As time goes by, its reach will grow. However, there is still need to use different platforms for marketing to make the campaigns more effective.

Watch This to Find Out Why You're Not a Millionaire Yet.

Let's get one thing clear. A lot of people make all sorts of excuses why they're not millionaires. A lot of people say, "Well, money doesn't make you happy. You can't buy love. You can't buy fulfillment. Money doesn't matter. What matters is happiness. What matters is a sense of contentment."

Well, the problem here is that a lot of people define contentment in such a way that it robs them of accountability. Somebody could say to you, "Well, I'm with the person that I'm with because I love him or her." Fair enough.

But instead of calling that person out and holding that person to a standard and demanding accountability, you just hang on to the emotion. You just hang on to how good it feels to be around that person.

Well, it might turn out that the person is a drug addict or the person has a habit of smacking you around and giving you a black eye every once in a while. You still get that nice emotional rush from time to time, but you have allowed it to blind you to the fact that you are in an abusive relationship. Do you see what's wrong with this picture?

Similarly, you can be pumping your head with all sorts of ideas that make you feel good, but unfortunately, the last time I checked, all the good feeling and all the fuzzy emotions that flash through your mind are not going to pay the bills. They definitely won't take away the fact that the rent is still due. Do you see where I'm coming from?

A lot of people are not millionaires, although they have the capacity to become one. I'm not talking necessarily about educational attainment. I'm definitely not talking about work experience. But everybody has the potential to provide a tremendous amount of value to everybody else, and in return, society rewards them. Since our society measures value in terms of dollars and cents, don't be surprised if people who pumped out a lot of value to others become millionaires.

This is the question you should be asking yourself: What's getting in the way of me being able to live out to my fullest potential by creating a lot of value?

When you allow yourself to aspire for maximum value creation, you are able to touch a lot of people's lives in a positive way. And ultimately, this leads to you being rewarded monetarily. Now, this may not necessarily mean that you will be a millionaire, but you would definitely be more comfortable than you are now.

Also, when you make providing value to others your life's mission, you feel more complete. You feel that there is a purpose and a meaning to you waking up every single morning. At the back of your head, you feel that there's a point to everything that's happening in your life. There's this one general overarching narrative that gives you purpose. And all of this is tied to your ability to maximize the value you're giving to others.

This goes back to the question of why you're not a millionaire yet. Why is that? What is it about your current situation that prevents you, day after day, from acting according to your fullest potential? Click the link in the description to read a book that would open your eyes to the factors that hold you back and drag you down from the kind of destiny you could be living.

You have a purpose. I know it sounds crazy, I know that this seems like it comes out of left field, but this is absolutely true. There is a meaning to your life.

But unfortunately, nobody's going to give that meaning to you. It's not going to fall out of the sky somewhere. You have to find it. You have to know where to look.

How to Create the Perfect Email Marketing Campaign.

Using the right e-mail marketing campaign, you can reach a huge number of people without them even having to come to you. You can message them right in their inboxes which they'll probably check on a daily basis, and you'll be able to convey as much information as you want to them right there and then while you have their attention.

The effectiveness of this strategy though of course depends on many factors, and just because you have their attention doesn't mean you'll be able to make sales. Firstly you of course need to be able to maintain that attention for long enough for them to actually take your message on board.

Then there's the fact that your message needs to be convincing enough to actually make them want to buy your product or sign up to your service, and the fact that a lot of e-mails will get deleted before they even get read.

Fortunately, this is a science more than it is an art, meaning that it can be tested, fine-tuned and hones. Here we will look at the methods you need to use in order to make your e-mails more convincing and more likely to convert your leads into paying customers.

1. Testing.

The most important way to improve your e-mail marketing campaign is to be able to test and measure its success over time. In other words, you need to be able to make gradual and slight changes to the precise wording and strategies you use in your messages so that you can then see directly how these are affecting the number of people that actually click on your links and go to your site to buy something. That means you need to treat your marketing services very carefully and precisely and to make measured changes that you can then see the results of. This way you can tweak little elements like the precise wording, the time you send out the message or the type of subject heading you use.

This is something that professional email marketing services can help you with greatly.

2. Receptiveness.

An aspect of marketing that many people will overlook is receptiveness. In other words you need to message the right demographic with the write text but just as importantly you need to message them at a time and in a way that they will be likely to be most receptive too. When it comes to joining mailing lists, one of the most important things you can do is to make sure that your list signs up being aware that you are going to use their details for marketing purposes. You might get fewer people joining the list, but those who do won't be annoyed to get your messages which will mean that they will be more likely to read it and more likely to respond favorably to what you're saying.

3. Planning.

A great marketing strategy will take place across multiple platforms and won't just incorporate one medium. In other words, if you want to maximize your email marketing then you need to use other methods to and tie them in together. That might mean launching a competition or offer and giving the discount only to those on your mailing list, or anything else that takes a more cohesive approach to marketing rather than seeing it as lots of disconnected techniques.

The

If you are at a campsite and if you want your barbecue pit to heat up very quickly, the last thing you'd probably think of doing is to pump a huge amount of flammable liquid on it. If you're a responsible camper and know your way around your barbecue pit, you would layer on twigs and other twigs and branches and put logs on top. That's how you manage the fire.

Unfortunately, such long-term thinking is not rewarded by the modern world. We want the best the world has to offer right here, right now. That's how much of a rush we're in, not surprisingly, we believe that the more we have, the more valuable our lives become.

We have completely erased the wall between value and price. We size each other up based on how much stuff or rights to stuff we have. We create this mental hierarchy and people with the most things are at the top. In the west, a significant amount of people kill themselves every single year.

This is quite shocking because they are all provided for, they are not starving in the streets, and they have more than enough to eat. People are eating and living better now than ever in history, yet people are still killing themselves. This is not only about official suicides. There are other ways to measure suicide.

Other ways people kill themselves are through drunk driving, drug abuse, and accidental overdose. The more stuff you have, doesn't necessarily mean the more you've become. These are two totally different things and two totally different tracts. Sadly, modern society teaches us that they are one and the same.

You are worth more than the sum of the stuff that you consume. You are worth more than the status people accord you. It is also surprise that people live broken and empty lives because they are trapped in this endless spiral of more, more and more.

The more they eat, the hungrier they become. The more they drink, the thirstier they become. The more money they have, the poorer they feel. This applies across the board. Thankfully, there is a way out.

The possible solution.

What is the way out? Well, instead of more, more, more; why not focus on less, less, less. Learn to let go. Focus on what you already have and learn to love what you already possess instead of beating yourself up desiring stuff you don't currently have. The old Zen Buddhist Maxim quote "less is more", is more relevant now than ever, at least to the west.

If you believe that your life is missing something or you're living an empty life, you might want to rediscover the concept of wholeness. You are more than just a consumption machine. You are more than just a demographic statistic that is supposed to be marketed to. You are more than your ability to make money. You are more than the status people accord you.

By looking at yourself as a self-enclosed whole organism with its own sense, own desire for purpose and meaning, your life and your perception of life starts to change. To get the inside scoop on an alternative path to personal meaning and reality, click the link in the description.

Why Do Millionaires Commit Suicide?

Believe it or not, a significant number of people who commit suicide every single year in the United States and elsewhere are individuals who have more than a few bucks to their name. This statistic blows many people's minds because this is not how the stories supposed to end.

In our culture, we are led to believe that the more stuff you have, the happier you are supposed to be. The idea is that material possessions bring happiness. Keep in mind that there are scientific studies that prove that money does buy happiness, but the full story is it only works for so long. The best way to understand this is to think back to the last time you bought something.

Maybe you had your eye on a new Air Jordans, you're excited about being able to buy that new pair so when you finally got it, you're really stoked. You'll walk around with your new Jordans, your friends would say, "Hey, nice shoes", "great kicks". But as time went on, there will just be another pair of shoes.

Given enough time, it's time for you to buy another pair of Air Jordans and you go through the process again, there's the sense of anticipation, you buy the item, you feel really good, you use it for a while and then you go back to where you were before. This is the reality of material-based happiness. It doesn't last.
When you sit down and treat yourself to a heaping pile of fried rice, or mashed potatoes or pasta, you get a nice rush, but afterwards you're hungry again. The same applies to sourcing your happiness and contentment from stuff. It never ends. You have to buy more and more stuff.

It's like a heroine addiction, it's never as good as the first time. You have to keep increasing the dose.

This is the background to why millionaires commit suicide in the United States and Western Europe. They buy more stuff, they have more dollars to their name but they never deliver the same amount of contentment as when they made their first million or they first bought their 20, 000 square foot home.

This is one treadmill that is very hard to exit because it becomes a part of who you are, it changes the way you look at things, the way you define yourself and how other people look at you. It's like being stuck in a self-referencing mechanism that you just can't get out from under.

Unfortunately, if the only measurement of success you have for yourself is how much stuff you have, any turbulence in your net worth is enough to bring your life crashing down. That's precisely why so many millionaires commit suicide. It doesn't matter how big your house is, it doesn't matter where you live, it's all pointless.

Thankfully, there is a better way, click the link in the description. Rediscover the classic idea of wholeness and free yourself from the mental prison of possessions.
